Why this matters
Squarespace often limits dynamic page-level head control, so the reliable baseline is global discovery tags plus Legible's hosted `llms.txt` and `ai-sitemap.json`.
Global Header Injection
- Open `Settings`.
- Open `Advanced`.
- Open `Code Injection`.
- Paste the site-wide Legible tags into the `Header` area.
Page-Level Markdown Tags
If your template or site version supports page-specific header code, add the Markdown `alternate` tag there using the correct slug. If not, rely on the global tags and hosted discovery endpoints as the primary AI discovery path.
Verification
- Check that the global tags appear in raw page source.
- Test hosted `llms.txt` and `ai-sitemap.json` directly.
- Add per-page tags only where Squarespace gives you reliable control.
